  3. Sprinkle a little flour on the work surface and place the dough. Then we roll it out into a thin layer and cut it into squares. Place stuffed crab sticks on the edge of each square and wrap them.
  4. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay out the sticks. Coat them with beaten egg on top and, if desired, sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and bake the tubes for 15 minutes. After the allotted time, the appetizer is ready, take it out of the oven, transfer it to a dish and serve.

Ingredients for three servings

  • 200 g ready-made puff pastry
  • 1 package of crab sticks (7 pieces)
  • 300 g cabbage
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 onion
  • A pinch of sugar
  • 2 tbsp. spoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 egg for brushing pies
  • 1 tbsp. spoon of cumin seeds (optional)

Step-by-step preparation

  1. Thaw the puff pastry. Place on a board dusted with flour and roll out thinly into a rectangle with a rolling pin.
  2. Remove crab sticks from packaging and defrost.
  3. Peel the carrots and grate on a coarse grater.
  4. Finely chop the onion.
  5. Fry carrots and onions in vegetable oil in a frying pan.
  6. Chop the cabbage, fry and add to the carrots and onions, add salt, add a little sugar and mix. I added about 10g more butter to the vegetable filling.
  7. Cut the dough into rectangles according to the number of crab sticks.
  8. For each rectangle according to the original recipe from Gastronom. ru you need to put an unwrapped crab stick, stuffed with vegetables and rolled up again. But my crab sticks cannot be unwrapped, so I put vegetables on each piece of dough, a crab stick on them, and wrapped the dough into a patty.
  9. Place the pies on a baking sheet covered with oiled baking paper, seam side down, with space between the pies, as they increase in size during baking.
  10. Brush the pies with beaten egg and sprinkle with cumin.
  11. Bake at 200 C for 20-25 minutes.
  12. The pies turn out very soft; remove from the baking paper while they are still hot, otherwise it will be more difficult to do this when the pies cool.
  13. Bon appetit!
