Where did Sergei Demagin go? Sergei Aleksandrovich Demagin: biography Video: interesting moments of games with the participation of Sergei Demagin.

The Belarusian collection became a “policeman,” by the way.

Sergei Demagin has been going through some kind of bad streak for the last year and a half. Just bad luck. Last summer, the striker, full of strength and energy, moved to Nizhny Novgorod. But already on the second day of the preseason, a big problem happened - Sergei broke his jaw. It took several months to heal, recover, and get back in shape. After playing several matches in the regular season, Demagin broke down again - again in training. The skate fell into a crack in the ice and his ankle sprained. As a result, last season the Belarusian did not play even a third of the matches for Torpedo - 24 games, 4 (1+3) points.

But the sniper approached the World Championship in full health and was ready to help the national team. But Demagin had no luck in the Czech Republic either - the performance turned out to be very uneven. Sergei was either included in the lineup for the match or watched the games from the sidelines. In 4 matches as the 13th forward, Demagin played 14 minutes. Of course, with such ice time it was difficult to get someone to notice.

Torpedo decided everything for itself in the spring, but the termination of the two-year contract with Demagin was announced only in mid-July. Since the summer, the Belarusian has been unemployed - Demagin still does not have a club. Although the forward had some options – even in the Belarusian extra-league.

For now, Sergei is in no hurry to continue his career and is in his native Tolyatti. In the summer, the forward probably did his favorite thing - fishing. By the way, the city of Lada is dearer to Demagin than Minsk - he has no real estate in Belarus, but he still plans to live in Tolyatti. The hockey player admitted this in an interview with Pressball this spring. And even if there is a choice between Lada and Dynamo Minsk, he will choose the Russian team. And getting into the Tolyatti club is a childhood dream for Sergei.

Lada is in no hurry to invite a student. More precisely, the club had a conversation with the hockey player last season. But, as Tolyatti general director Vladimir Vdovin said, “the team doesn’t need Demagin.” As a result, a very serious jump happened - from the KHL and the elite world championship to amateur hockey. Demagin does not sit idle and keeps in shape with the UBOP team from the TLHL (Tolyatti Amateur Hockey League). “Policemen” are now one of the best teams in the tournament. And one of the main forwards of the team is Sergei Demagin - in 5 meetings the 29-year-old Belarusian has 11 points. As often happens, the striker's statistics are dominated by goals - 10 goals and only one assist. In the list of snipers, Demagin shares first place with Evgeniy Glyadentsev from Molniya.

In TLHL Demagin is almost the main star. These are the posts that rival goalkeepers make.

Sergei refused to communicate now: he apologized and said that he had no desire. But I think that right now the TLHL is not the ceiling for the Belarusian forward.

Belarusian hockey player, forward

Career

Sergei Demagin began his professional career in 2005 in the Belarusian Extra League as part of Dynamo Minsk, being one of the most productive players in the First League of the Belarusian championship. On August 19, 2008, Sergei signed a contract with the Hartford Wolf Pack club of the American Hockey League, however, without playing a single match overseas, immediately after the termination of the contract on October 13, he returned to Dynamo.

Before the start of the 2009/10 season, Demagin extended his contract with the Minsk club, however, having played only 7 matches since the start of the KHL championship, he was sent to the farm club. Immediately after this, he was taken from the waiver draft by Nizhnekamsk Neftekhimik, where he spent the rest of the season, scoring 28 (17+11) points in 53 matches. On July 19, 2010, Sergei decided to return to Dynamo, with whom he scored 25 (17+8) points in 54 matches in the 2010/11 season.

On May 5, 2011, Demagin again became a player of Neftekhimik, which offered him better conditions compared to the Dynamo management, however, having scored only 2 (2+0) points in the first 16 matches of the new season, on November 2 he was released club for the waiver draft. On November 18, after two matches played in the VHL as part of the Penza Diesel, Sergei signed a contract with the Khanty-Mansiysk Ugra.

Expert assessment

Sergei Demagin played in many hockey clubs in Belarus and Russia. At the club level with Dynamo from Minsk, he won medals in all trials, but in Russia Sergei has not yet had any titles. He represents a group of experienced hockey players in the Belarusian national team who have been making their mark on it for many seasons.

It is impossible to say that Sergei Demagin has very high performance. However, throughout his career he showed stability and even play, while other hockey players, as a rule, have periods of good play alternated with failures in skill. In the national team, Demagin is always paired with a couple of young players - if the situation allows - there is always something to learn from him.
