A high-quality primer is the key to perfect makeup, because it evens out complexion, corrects skin tone and ensures even application of decorative cosmetics.

What is a primer for?

Surely every woman looks with envy at models and show business stars. After all, they look so young, even despite their age, and their skin seems perfect. But in fact, perfect skin does not exist. It is the primer for the face that helps make-up artists hide all the imperfections.

A primer is an indispensable thing that every woman should have. It has a different consistency: liquid and creamy. Easily lays down on the face and evens out its texture. Thanks to this miracle tool, you can hide many cosmetic imperfections that the usual tonal foundation cannot mask. These are acne, and blackheads, and various redness, and even scars that remain after acne treatment.

But the most important thing is that with it you can hide most of the wrinkles. Indeed, due to its unique consistency, it fills all the irregularities on the face, which, after applying the foundation, become completely invisible to the human eye.

• for the face (toning, moisturizing, matting).

All primers have sunscreen properties, they protect the skin from direct exposure to sunlight, thereby preventing its premature aging. In addition, they also contain various vitamins and antioxidants that help rejuvenate the skin, making it more elastic and toned.

Choose a primer based on your skin type. The fact is that if you have oily skin and you get a primer that has a liquid consistency, then the makeup applied on top will “blur” and look sloppy.

Therefore, for this type of skin, it is recommended to purchase primers with a creamy consistency or a pudding primer, which has only recently appeared on sale in our markets. It has the texture of an ordinary powder, lays down easily and also masks all cosmetic imperfections. In addition, due to its structure, oily skin of the face will “dry out” a little, oily sheen will disappear, and makeup will lie evenly and look perfect.

Pudding primer comes in two tones:

• pink - well suited for facial skin that has a yellow tint;
• green - great for facial skin that has a red tint.

The pudding primer also needs to be chosen, taking into account the characteristics of your skin:

• for mature skin, silk-based powder is ideal, which has a matting property, as well as an antibacterial effect;
• for oily skin, an excellent option would be a powder based on clay (kaolin), rice powder or corn starch with zinc oxide, which have an anti-inflammatory effect;
• for those who have cosmetic problems in the form of acne and blackheads, green tea-based powder is an ideal option, which can replace day and night products, and this powder also has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

Thanks to the primer, the blush and shadow applied to the face have rich and vibrant shades.

Primer should be applied to pre-moistened skin, and make-up can be applied only after complete absorption of the product.

How to use a primer?

In order for the makeup to turn out perfect and last all day, you need to do the following:

1. Moisturize your face. To do this, you can use any moisturizer that has a light texture. Apply it on your face and wait a few minutes for it to fully absorb. The remains of the cream can be removed with ordinary cotton pads. If makeup is applied to dry skin, the end result can be deplorable. Firstly, the makeup does not lie flat, and secondly, it does not last very long;
2. Next, you need to apply a primer. If you have chosen a matting agent, then its tone should match the tone of your skin as much as possible. A primer is applied to the entire face (except for green - it must be applied pointwise). To begin with, apply a small amount of the product to the palm of your hand so that it warms up slightly. Then, using a soft, damp sponge, start rubbing the primer onto your face. It is necessary to start from the eye area, and then move to the nose, forehead, cheeks and chin. Remember that special products are used for the skin of the eyelids and lips;
3. Make sure the product lays down evenly and you shade it well. Reapply as needed, focusing on the T-zone. Here you can distribute the product with the help of fingertips, with the same rubbing and driving movements;
4. After applying the primer to your face, wait a few minutes. Let it fully absorb and dry. And then you can start applying the foundation. If you do not use foundation, then you can skip this step and just use regular powder.
